If you like grilling, you may enjoy this recipe. As you well know, the flank steak is a tougher cut of meat and may require some special treatment before you put in on the grill. The best way to treat this cut of beef is to marinate it – preferably overnight, but if you don’t have time 2-3 hours might do the trick.
For this recipe you will need:
- 2 lb cut of flank steak
For the marinade:
- 3 tbsp of olive oil
- 4 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tbsp of soy sauce
- 4 cloves of garlic finely minced
- 2 tbsp of honey
- 2 tsp of Rosemary Salt by Falksalt
- 1 tsp of freshly ground pepper
To make the marinade mix in a bowl all of the ingredients together. Whisk well to incorporate all the of the ingredients.
Place your flank steak into 1-gallon ziplock bag and pour into the bag your marinade. Lock the bag while trying to get out of it as much air as you can. Give it a little “massage” to make sure the stake is covered in marinade. Marinade in the fridge for 3 or 4 hours – overnight would be the best.
Preheat your grill to about 450° F. Grill your flank steak for 6 minutes on each side for “rare”.
If you want to, you can save your marinade and bring it to simmer for a few minutes in a small saucepan. You can use it to serve your steak with it.
